If the course you are taking requires a computer or Internet access you will need access to a computer. We have set these minimum hardware standards.
Computer Hardware Minimums
- Pentium 166 Mhz PC or better
- 32 Mg of RAM
- 28.8 baud modem
If you do not have the above listed computer you will be able to use one of the open computer labs on campus.
Software
- Windows 98 or better
- Software to complete the course (for example, for PCSW-250, you will need MS Word - the college does not provide software)
Other computer related requirements
You will need:
- An Internet Service Provider
If you do not have one MCC will provide you one while you are a student.
- An Email Address
Mott does provide every student with a webmail address. Check your syllabus to see if the instructor has specific instruction in regard email.
- A Web Browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape
- An activated Blackboard Account
